If you don’t already have your own product to sell, or if you would like to have a bonus to give away to your buyers, public domain works are one of the easiest ways to create a product to sell, a bonus to give away, or a free viral e-book to promote your site.

You can use a public domain work as it is or make changes to it. You can even create an audio or video package with it and turn it into a home study course and end up selling it for $495, $997, or more.

That’s what Matt Furey did with 1914 public domain home study course that he found. He turned it into a $597 home study course with videos and a manual.

Here are some other ideas for making money with a public domain book:

• sell it through Clickbank
• make it unique and sell reprint rights to it
• use it as a viral ebook to increase traffic to your site
• use it as content for an Adsense site
• use it as content for your blog

These are just some of the things you can do with public domain works. But where do you get them?

You can do searches for public domain works (read the book The Public Domain by Fishman to know how to tell if a book is public domain).

The easier way is to let Peter Woodhead do the work for you. He has a membership site that has dozens of public domain works available for you to download and put to work for you.

Members can also request he find a public domain book in a certain niche.

If you put up one web site a week selling an ebook or some other product you made with a public domain work, and each site makes you $300 a month, in 12 weeks you could be making a consistent $3,600 a month. Not bad.
